If you had to decide between Paris and London, for a short break, which one would you choose? Or would you have to think about how to fund the trip and take out a title loan to fund your travel?
The two cities have been competing with each other for centuries. Funnily enough they compete in similar categories – history, visitor-friendly, and beauty.
Now London seems to have topped the list, as the friendliest European capital. A new study by the Paris-lle de France Regional Tourism Committee on all the European capitals, places London in the first place.
The report brushes aside the popular perceptions on Gallic cuisine, the stylish cafes on the pavements and the iconic Champs Elysees. Despite all these obvious charms, French tourism officials concede that London has outperformed the French capital.
So what is London boasting about? Most visitors have said that London’s cuisine and taxis are rated the best. The other hotspots which tourists ticked off were the Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square.
An important question that the report is clear about is the cost. Which city is more expensive? Will you need a title loan to fund a trip to either London or Paris?
The report titled ‘Twenty Four Hours In A Tourist Capital’ gave London 82 points out of 100 for the welcome accorded to tourists. Paris, the city which tops the list of the most popular city for tourism arrivals came second along with Amsterdam with 79 points.
French investigators who went undercover did not find anything too negative except for a small compliant that English do not speak other foreign languages.

One of the important category in which London scored over Paris was in accommodation - London got 89 while Paris scored 74. The tariff in Paris hotel went up in the last 10 years, mainly because of the introduction of the euro.
